Floristware is pleased to announce that a special educational version of the FloristWare point-of-sale system is now available, free of charge, to schools and colleges offering floral design and florist training programs.

"In order to be successful retail florists need to be familiar with more than just design. FloristWare is committed to helping better prepare floral program students for a career in the industry by allowing them to acquire hands-on experience with a point-of-sale system," explains Mark Anderson of Floristware. "Our goal is to help retail florists - and the industry - thrive however we can."

Response from educators has been excellent and a variety of schools - from small floral design schools to community colleges - are already using FloristWare in the classroom and, in some cases, their associated training stores.

Susan Page of FloristWare is the initial liaison with the schools. Kathy Johnson, a retail florist and shop-owner of many years who recently left that side of the business to join FloristWare, is in charge of "practical" support - helping the schools and their students understand how they can best use a POS system like FloristWare to improve their business.
