We are very pleased to announce that Deborah Woodcock is the newest member of the FloristWare team.

She joins FloristWare after working with florist and distributor members of Flowers Canada Retail for over 10 years. Her service and support experience gained while working in this association with other industry members, educators and consumers offers a diverse skill set and knowledge in finance, marketing, web development and most recently email marketing.

At FloristWare, Deborah is looking forward to working with all our customers in further developing their business of flowers. Along with Support Services, she will be introducing a newsletter discussing everything from specific FloristWare features and how best they work, plus new ways to grow your business and save money in this ever changing market. Deborah is also creating more interaction with relevant news and information on the new and improved blog for our FloristWare users.

She is always happy to receive any suggestions and ideas you’d like to share about your floral business, and is excited about working with you in this demanding career.

We were very pleased to see that Periwinkle Flowers - one of the very first shops to use FloristWare - was recently featured in Florists' Review magazine.

Periwinkle is a great success story. A relatively new shop, they have enjoyed consistent growth during a time when most florists see sales declining. They have also carved out a niche in one of the most competitive ares for florists in the city - there are at least four other florists sharing the same quarter-mile stretch of road.

Periwinkle is owned Jessica McEwan and Erin Paterson - by two of the smartest operators we have ever met. They are not only top-notch designers who truly love flowers but serious business people as well. For example they were finalists in a Dell small business competition and this is just one small indication of their commitment to good business practices.

The article appeared on page 85 of the March 2008 issue of Florists' Review. In it they mention how FloristWare has been invaluable to them and share a lot of other information that would be helpful to many florists.

It is our pleasure to work with florists like Erin and Jess and we hope that we can play some small part in their continued success.

We are pleased to announce that FloristWare v2.7 is currently being beta tested in a few select shops and will be available as an update for all users before the end of May 2008. Free demo and trial versions of this latest update will available soon after.

This latest update contains several new features the test shops are finding very useful. We'll be releasing more information in the next few days.
