FloristWare at 2015 SAF Profit Blast
Each year the Society of American Florists hosts three main educational events for retail florists. The big one, the multi-day annual convention, usually takes place in August or September. This year it is on Amelia Island Florida in September. The second is the two-day Growth Solutions – usually in June, this year in Connecticut.
For the last few years both of these events have includes a vendor showcase. This was something we had long wanted – a chances to meet face-to-face with the retail florists that make up SAF – and FloristWare has exhibited at every opportunity.
The third event SAF holds each year is Profit Blast – a one day event, packed with great information for anyone in the business of selling flowers. This year they are including some of the very best in the business:
- Tim Huckabee AISFE of FloralStrategies will teach better sales practices.
- Jerome Raska AAF, AIFD, PFCI of Blumz in Detroit will repeat his outstanding session from the 2014 Annual Convention called "Adding Value at the Design Bench".
- Renato Sogueco, head of IT at SAF and author of the popular "Tech Talk" column in Floral Management magazine will discuss how how social media and web strategies can improve your search engine rankings.
- SAF president Shirley Lyons Lyons, AAF, PFCI will share her secrets for being the go-to florist for the local media.
It is a great lineup for what is sure to be a great event – one that will be incredibly valuable to any florist.
This is also the first time that the Profit Blast event has included a vendor showcase. FloristWare is deeply committed to SAF and the work that they do on behalf of the retail floral industry and we're happy to be supporting them again. Susan Page, FloristWare VP, will be representing us in Seattle. A longtime resident of the area she is looking forward to seeing some clients and familiar faces.
