GLFE 2014 Sponsorships

We were excited to hear that Doug Bates of Designs by Vogt's in Sturgis MI had been selected by the Michigan Floral Association to present the opening mainstage show at the 2014 Great Lakes Floral Expo. Doug is a long-standing client, incredibly talented designer (most recently he won the 2012 Michigan Floral Association Designer of the Year and 2013 Young Person of the Year awards) and very nice person - one of our favorites and a true pleasure to work with.

Rod Crittenden (president of the MFA) knew how much we admired Doug and asked if we would be interested in sponsoring his sessions. This was an exciting possibility for us but a bit of a departure. FloristWare has sponsored many sessions in the past but it has always been business (as opposed to design) content from people like Tim Huckabee of FloralStrategies, Rick Rivers of Florist Bootcamp and Derrick Myers of Crockett Myers.

But the opportunity of working with Doug and supporting the MFA on a larger scale was too good to pass up. We are excited and honored to be hosting both the mainstage event on Friday and the workshop on Sunday.
