This year FloristWare sponsored several business sessions from two different speaker. Tim Huckabee of FloralStrategies spoke several times on "Big Easy Sales the Floral Strategies Way". Tim's sessions are a favorite at all events in the floral industry and this was no exception. The sessions were packed, and it is no surprise as so many people go back to see him multiple times.
FloristWare also sponsored two sessions on value pricing and how it can be applied to the delicate business of quoting weddings and events. These sessions were presented by FloristWare founder Mark Anderson and were very popular.
Jamie Jamison-Adams of Flower Shop Network presented two excellent and very popular sessions on digital marketing. These sessions were sponsored by our friends at FSN, who are also great friends to the florist industry. Flower Shop Network and FloristWare are the only two independent vendors of floral services and technology that consistently support events like the Great Lakes Floral Expo.
This year the GLFE also included a "Night of Fantasy" Tablescape contest. It was won by a good friend and great florist Doug Bates of Designs by Vogts in Sturgis MI, but there were many interesting entries. And, of course, there are also always lots of beautiful flowers and outstanding examples of floral design.
