In advance of the 2013 SAF Annual Convention we're going to preview some of the sessions that look especially interesting.
This session will focus on showing you how to convert your delivery program from a costly service into a profit center. Derrick - an accountant and financial consultant specializing in dealing with retail flower shops - believes customers expect to pay a premium for same-day delivery and will show you how to take advantage of that while also reducing your costs.
Hopefully Derrick will also talk a little about the difference between a delivery driver that is considered an employee as opposed to an independent contractor. It can be a subtle distinction with significant consequences, especially with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) coming into effect January 1, 2014. Derrick has great content on this topic.
