The American Institute of Floral Designers was established in 1965 and is now the leading non-profit organization dedicated to establishing, maintaining and recognizing the highest standard of professional floral design in the industry. AIFD and its global network of accredited members are at the forefront of the floral industry in delivering educational design programs and design flowers for such world-renowned events as the Academy Awards, Tournament of Roses Parade, Presidential Inaugurations and more. AIFD members are an extraordinary group of talented artists.
Membership & Accreditation
Accredited membership in AIFD is highly selective and difficult to achieve. It can only be obtained after a prospective member has effectively demonstrated advanced professional ability of their floral artistry. Members earn the right to wear the "CFD“ and, potentially, "AIFD" post-nominal addendum to their name, demonstrating that their peers have found them to be “Accredited in Floral Design.” Members must also continue to demonstrate their expertise and artistry by meeting stringent continuing education requirements.
