Michigan Floral Association (MFA)

The Michigan Floral Association (MFA), founded in 1920, is now known as the Great Lakes Floral Association (GLFA) and continues to thrive as a full-service trade association representing florists, growers, suppliers, wholesalers, educators and students.

The Michigan Floral Association is now the Great Lakes Floral Association (GLFA)

The Great Lakes Floral Association serves retail florists throughout the Great Lakes and beyond.

For almost 100 years the MFA provided education and professional partnership which helped to position the members of MFA at the forefront of the floral industry. During that time...

  • sponsor of the Michigan Certified Florist (MCF) program and host of the annual The Great Lakes Floral Expo and trade show
  • conducted  educational seminars though out the year at the Professional Education Center located at the association headquarters
  • partnered with local wholesale houses around the state to produce design seminars and product reviews
  • published the award winning bi-monthly The Professional Florist magazine
  • hosted the MFA web site
  • advocated with state / federal government agencies on behalf of the retail floral industry

Proud Supporter of the MFA

FloristWare was a member of the MFA since our earliest days and was a frequent exhibitor and sponsor at their annual convention. We are now an entusiastic supporter of the new Great Lakes Floral Association (GLFA) and their annual Great Lakes Floral and Event Expo.

Proud Supporter of the MFA

FloristWare was pleased to be an MFA member and Michigan Floral Show exhibitor for many years.

We are now an enthusiastic supporter of MFA offspring the GLFA (Great Lakes Floral Association) and have been fortunate enough to exhibit at and sponsor business speakers like Tim Huckabee of Floral Strategies, Robbin Yelverton AIFD and Rick Rivers of Florist Bootcamp at the GLFEE.
